Kuka’s KRC1 unit is designed as a reliable operator interface, marked by its high-quality 10.4-inch monochrome LCD screen. This display delivers a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, ensuring clarity for a variety of operational tasks. Unlike touch-based devices, this interface relies on a 17-button keypad, which lends itself to a tactile input method favored in many industrial settings.

The control unit is engineered to function with a power supply of 24V DC, drawing a modest 10 watts of power. Its versatility is enhanced by communication capabilities through RS-232 and/or Ethernet interfaces, facilitating robust integration with associated systems.

Constructed from ergonomic plastic, the housing is both user-friendly and resilient, ensuring durability in various operational environments. The KRC1 operates effectively within a temperature range of 0°C to 45°C and can withstand storage temperatures of -20°C to 60°C. It also accommodates humidity levels between 10% and 95% (non-condensing), making it suitable for a range of industrial applications.

Furthermore, the unit boasts an IP65 protection class rating, safeguarding against dust intrusion and ensuring its functionality in wet environments. The KRC1 features a cable length ranging from 2 to 5 meters, allowing flexibility in setup. With dimensions of 300 mm in width, 200 mm in height, and 60 mm in depth, it presents a compact solution for operator interfaces.
