Lenze's E84AYCPMV is a dedicated PROFIBUS module intended for use with 8400 inverter drives. This device enhances communication within industrial networks by supporting both PROFIBUS DP-V0 and DP-V1 profiles, ensuring seamless data transfer across multiple devices. The module is fitted with a 9-pin Sub-D connector, providing a reliable physical interface for connection.

Operating via RS485 bus coupling, this module supports a network topology that can be either line or tree structured, with the option to include repeaters. It accommodates communication speeds ranging from 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps, automatically adjusting to optimize transmission efficiency. The configuration allows for quick setup, capable of managing up to 31 slave devices without any repeaters, or expanding to a maximum of 125 slaves when deployed with repeaters.

For convenience in system design and use, the E84AYCPMV supports customizable station addressing through the use of either DIP switches or software, allowing for addressing of 1 through 126. The module features five diagnostic LEDs, assisting users in monitoring operational status and troubleshooting potential issues. Each direction is capable of handling 16 process data words, providing ample data exchange capabilities for various applications.
