Designed for efficient motion control applications, the Mitsubishi A1SD71-S2 acts as a positioning module within the A Series configuration. This module integrates seamlessly into control systems, featuring 48 I/O points while requiring two slots for installation.

The positioning module operates with two control axes, allowing simultaneous or independent movement. It offers linear interpolation to enhance positioning accuracy. Each axis can store up to 400 points of positioning data.

For memory backup, the device ensures 15 minutes of operation without a battery at 25°C; with a lithium battery, it extends this duration to 300 days and comes with a guaranteed lifespan of five years.

Acceleration and deceleration control utilizes automatic trapezoidal profiles, with settings adjustable within 64 to 50,000 milliseconds. Additionally, the module can compensate for backlash, accommodating adjustments from 0 to 65,535 position command units, translating to 0-255 pulses for systems based on pulse units.

The A1SD71-S2 includes an M function for output. For internal consumption, it operates at 5 VDC and requires 0.8A. The external supply voltage ranges from 4.75 to 26.4 V with a maximum current draw of 50 mA. Positioning data can be input using various methods, including but not limited to the A6GPP, A6PHP, A7PHP, A7HGP, A7LMS, and AD71TU configurations or through a sequence program.
