The AX42 from Mitsubishi is a MELSEC-A sink loading input module. Its 64 input terminals provide considerable space for capturing signals from field equipment. The module operates at a low current of 3–7 milliamps (mA) at a 12–24 volt DC supply. Its ON/OFF reaction time is only 10 milliseconds; it can quickly detect shifts in input states.
