The FX-1HC module functions as a versatile programmable controller module in the FX Series from Mitsubishi. It supports a selection of input types, including configurations for 1-phase or 2-phase input systems. Each input can be specified to handle different edge counts, allowing for adaptability based on application needs. Participants in the system can connect to signal levels of 5V, 12V, or 24V, with a ±10% tolerance based on how terminals are set up. The input signal’s maximum frequency varies: 50 kHz for a single-phase input or a single edge count of a dual-phase, reducing to 25 kHz for two edge counts, and down to 12.5 kHz for four edge counts in dual-phase settings.
Counting mechanisms are managed via automatic UP/Down counting formats. Nonetheless, in the scenario of using a one-phase one-input mode, determining whether to count up or down is dependent on commands from the programmable controller or input terminal signals. The counting ranges vary significantly based on the settings: specifying a 32-bit range allows counting from -2,147,483,648 to +2,147,483,648, while a 16-bit specification supports a range of 0 to 65,535, where the limit can also be designated by the user.
The FX-1HC supports transistor outputs, functioning effectively across a capacity of DC 12V to 24V. An output current of 0.5A can be supported, ensuring considerable flexibility for various connected devices. This module occupies a total of 8 I/O points, although these points are not addressed through X or Y relays. Powering the module is straightforward, utilizing a DC 5V supply derived from its base, drawing a current of 70 mA, which guarantees efficient operational management.
