The Mitsubishi FX16EYT-ESS is designed as an output expansion module within the FX Series framework. Equipped with 16 output points, this module utilizes a transistor source output type for effective signal management. Each point supports a maximum resistance load of 0.5 A, and when four points are used together, the total allowable current is 0.8 A.

The device is built around a photocoupler circuit insulation design, which enhances reliability and minimizes interference. A leakage current specification of 0.1 mA at 30V DC protects downstream components from potential faults. Users receive clear feedback on output status through an LED indicator that illuminates when an output is engaged.

Response times are finely tuned, with the unit switching from OFF to ON in approximately 0.2 ms or less and back from ON to OFF in about 1.5 ms, ensuring prompt reactions in control processes. The module consumes 112 mA of current, equating to 7 mA per point. It requires a 24V DC input supply, providing further flexibility for diverse applications. The FX16EYT-ESS supports switched voltages ranging from 5 to 30 V DC, expanding its usability.

The module can handle up to 12 W of inductive loads at 24 V DC, while indicator loads are manageable up to 1.5 W at the same voltage. Mounting is simple with a DIN rail method, allowing easy integration into existing infrastructure.
