FX2N-422-BD

The FX2N-422-BD communication board is a Mitsubishi PLC RS-422 type of communication board. It is a part of the FX product line within the Mitsubishi MELSEC F series. The FX2N-422-BD communication board was designed to provide an RS-422 communication option to a MELSEC F programmable controller system. It can be installed in a MELSEC F programmable controller system and used for hosting RS-422 connections in a variety of applications. The FX2N-422-BD communication board provides an RS-422 port that can host programming tools and monitoring tools. This communication board is designed to be installed on the base unit of a MELSEC F programmable controller. If the FX2N-422-BD communication board is installed on a given base unit, other communication boards (such as boards for RS-485 or RS-232 connections) cannot be installed. Additionally, the FX2N-422-BD communication board can only connect 1 programming tool to a MELSEC F programmable controller base unit at a time. When the FX2N-422-BD communication board is used by a base unit, up to 2 DU series units or devices can be connected to the base unit at a time. The FX2N-422-BD communication board also allows 1 DU series unit and 1 programming tool to be connected to the base unit at the same time. This communication board can be mounted with 2 self-tapping M3 screws. It has a MINI DIN 8-pin connector. The FX2N-422-BD communication board supports a programming protocol and a half-duplex communication method. Its maximum transfer distance is within 50 meters. The FX2N-422-BD communication board does not include any isolation features. It operates with 60 mA and 5V DC of power that are supplied by the host programmable controller.
