The analog-digital converter module, designated as Q68ADI, is part of Mitsubishi's Melsec-Q series. This module is configured with eight analog input channels, making it versatile for various applications requiring precise input measurement. It can accept analog input currents ranging from 0 to 20 mA DC, with an input resistance specification of 250-ohm.
On the digital output front, the Q68ADI utilizes a 16-bit signed binary format. In normal resolution mode, the digital output range is from –4096 to 4095. Alternatively, it can operate in a high-resolution mode, with output limits set at –12288 to 12287, or –16384 to 16383. The module includes safeguards for its inputs, with an absolute maximum input capacity of ± 15 V for voltage and ± 30 mA for current.
In terms of data storage, the E2PROM write count capability allows for a maximum of 100,000 writing cycles, ensuring durability and reliability over time. Isolation methods include photocoupler insulation between the I/O terminals and the programmable controller power supply, and non-insulated connections between channels. Moreover, the dielectric withstand voltage is specified at 500VAC for one minute, providing an additional layer of protection.
The insulation resistance measured between the I/O terminal and the power supply is higher than 20M-ohm when tested at 500VDC. The Q68ADI occupies 16 I/O points, categorized as intelligent. It connects through an 18-point terminal block, accommodating wire sizes ranging from 0.3 to 0.75 mm². The mass of this module is 0.19 kg, and it requires solderless terminals of type R1.25-3; terminals with sleeves are not compatible. Additionally, the module consumes 0.64A from a 5VDC internal supply.
