The QD75D4 positioning module by Mitsubishi is part of the Melsec-Q series and is engineered for precision and efficiency in automation. Capable of managing four axes, this device facilitates multiple interpolation techniques. Users can select 2-, 3-, or even 4-axis linear interpolation, alongside two-dimensional circular and three-dimensional helical interpolations, enhancing flexibility in motion control tasks.
The module operates using several control methodologies, including Point-to-Point (PTP) control, path control, and speed control, allowing for transition between speed and position switching modes. Control units can be adjusted in millimeters, inches, degrees, or pulses, accommodating various user preferences for positioning data, of which it can retain 600 data points per axis.
Connections are made via a reliable 40-pin connector, with a maximum output pulse rate reaching 1 million pulses per second. The module can connect servos up to 10 meters apart while consuming 0.82 Amps at 5VDC internally. The flash ROM is designed for longevity, achieving a maximum write count of 100,000 times. It occupies 32 I/O points, allowing for intelligent assignment of inputs and outputs, tailored to specific control requirements.
