Operating within Mitsubishi’s Melsec-Q series, the QD77MS4 is classified as a simple motion module. This versatile unit allows for control over four distinct axes. It accommodates multiple types of interpolation, including linear options for 2, 3, or 4 axes and the ability to execute circular interpolation over two axes.

The control mechanisms are robust, supporting Point-to-Point (PTP) control as well as linear and arc path control. Additionally, users can implement speed control alongside either speed-position or position-speed switching control and even speed-torque control settings. Units of measurement can be configured in millimeters, inches, degrees, or pulses (PLS), accommodating various application requirements.

Positioning data storage reaches up to 600 data points per axis. Essential settings, positioning data, and start block data can be reliably archived in flash ROM, ensuring a battery-less backup solution for important information.

This module utilizes trapezoidal and S-curve profiles for acceleration and deceleration processes, optimizing motion performance. The QD77MS4 has a swift response time, with a startup duration of just 0.88 milliseconds from the initial positioning signal until the BUSY indication is activated.

The module connects to the system via a 40-pin connector. It operates on a 5VDC power supply, drawing a current of 0.6A. It occupies 32 I/O points designated specifically for intelligent function modules, making it a highly efficient option for various industrial applications.
