The QJ71GF11-T2 module, manufactured by Mitsubishi, is designed to function within the Melsec-Q series as a dual-purpose master and local module for CC-Link IE Field networks. This module boasts impressive communication capabilities, featuring a maximum communication speed of 1 Gbps. It enables extensive networking opportunities, allowing for 16384 points for RX and RY, along with 8192 points for both RWr and RWw.

Each master station connected can support substantial throughput, with 2048 points designated for RX and RY and 1024 points for the RWr and RWw assignments. Connection to the network is established through standard Ethernet cables that meet the 1000BASE-T specifications, requiring at least a Category 5e grade with double shielding.

The module allows for a maximum station-to-station distance of 100 meters while supporting various network topologies, such as line, star, and ring configurations. In one network setup, a single master station can connect up to 120 slave stations, and local stations can connect up to another 120, making it suitable for complex automation setups.

This module uses token-passing communication, ensuring organized data transfer among connected devices. It occupies 32 I/O points and is dimensioned at 98 mm in height, 27.4 mm in width, and 115 mm in depth, weighing just 0.18 kg. The module consumes 0.85A at 5VDC for internal power requirements, underscoring its efficiency in demanding control environments.
