C200H-ASC02

The C200H-ASC02 module is an ASCII module by Omron Automation that is programmed in BASIC. It is compatible with Omron C200H series programmable controller systems. The C200H-ASC02 ASCII module can make its host programmable controller system more powerful and flexible, and it allows peripheral devices to be connected to the programmable controller system. The C200H-ASC02 module is equipped with 2 RS-232C ports, which are serial communication ports that are widely used in industrial settings. These 2 RS-232C ports enable the C200H-ASC02 ASCII module to connect the C200H programmable controller system to devices that include Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) or terminals, barcode readers, printers, and other peripheral input and output devices. The C200H-ASC02 ASCII module is equipped with 24K bytes of Random Access Memory (RAM) and 24K bytes of Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM). The RAM hosts the BASIC programs and BASIC data for the C200H-ASC02 module, and it is battery-backed. The EEPROM stores the BASIC programs for the module. The C200H-ASC02 ASCII module can be connected directly to the backplane of the host programmable controller system. This backplane serves as a communication bus that enables data transfers between the C200H-ASC02 module and the control system processor. The C200H-ASC02 ASCII module operates effectively in a temperature range from 0°C to 55°C, making it suitable for applications in various industrial environments. Its ingress protection rating of IP30 ensures limited protection against dust and debris, but it does not provide protection against liquids. The C200H-ASC02 ASCII module supports half-duplex communication, start-stop synchronization, point-to-point transmission, and a maximum internal current consumption rating of 200 mA at 5 Volts DC.
