The Omron C200H-CT021 high-speed counter module is a specialized industrial automation unit designed to precisely and efficiently count input pulses in various applications. Featuring two high-speed counters, this module is tailored for integration with C200H, C200HS, C200HX, C200HG, and C200HE PLCs. With a remarkable counting speed of up to 75,000 counts per second, it excels in tasks demanding rapid and accurate pulse counting. Its versatility extends to accommodating both open collector and RS-422 line driver output types from incremental encoders, ensuring resilience to noise and enabling usage over extended cable lengths or noisy environments. The module offers three counting modes—drum, preset counter, and counting function—and seven operating modes, including Simple, Linear, Circular, Preset, Gate, Cumulative Gate, and Sampling modes. With a wide counting range in both BCD and hexadecimal formats, spanning from -8,388,608 to 8,388,607 and 800000 to FFFFFF (-8,388,608 to -1) to 000000 to 7FFFFF (0 to 8,388,607) respectively, it suits diverse industrial applications. This module provides eight flexible external outputs that can be configured as NPN or PNP outputs, ensuring adaptability to specific requirements. It accepts three types of pulse inputs—offset phase, up and down, and pulse and direction—and retains its settings, including current counter values, even when powered off.
