The C200H-IDS01-V1 module by Omron Automation is an ID sensor module. It has numerous industrial automation and control systems applications. The C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module can be connected to an Omron C200H PC or programmable controller system and used to build an ID sensor system for the PC. The complete ID sensor system includes the C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module, one R/W (read-write) head or antenna, and one data carrier. The data carrier can be mounted to a workpiece carrier or a moving workpiece. The R/W head or antenna can be connected to the C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module through a cable that allows it to be located within the communication range of the data monitor’s travel path. The C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module can receive commands from the CPU in the C200H PC, and it can read or write data to the connected data carrier through the R/W head or antenna device. It can only support one R/W head or antenna at a time. This ID sensor module supports an interactive communication control procedure. The C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module supports 7 commands for different applications. Its 7 commands are the read command, write command, auto read command, auto write command, clear-all command, auto read/write abort command, and the data management command. The C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module can transfer up to 512 words or 1024 bytes per instruction. It supports diagnostics functions and monitoring functions. The C200H-IDS01-V1 ID sensor module consumes 250 mA of maximum current at 5 Volts DC and 120 mA of maximum current at 26 Volts DC to drive the R/W head or antenna.
