The C200HW-CLK21 module is a Controller Link module. It has been designed and manufactured by Omron Automation for industrial communication and reliable data transfer applications. The C200HW-CLK21 Controller Link module is suitable for use in a variety of industrial control systems, and it is compatible with most PLCs from the Omron C200HX series, C200HG series, or C200HE series. It supports high-speed and dependable data transfer capabilities in its host PLC system. The C200HW-CLK21 Controller Link module can support token bus communication in industrial PLC systems. It also supports Manchester code for data transmission and adheres to HDLC frames for flag synchronization. In addition, the C200HW-CLK21 Controller Link module supports multi-drop (bus) transmission paths for communication among multiple nodes. The PLC system can host up to 32 nodes without a repeater device. The baud rates and maximum transmission distances that the C200HW-CLK21 module supports in the system are 2 Mbps at 500 meters, 1 Mbps at 800 meters, and 500 Kbps at 1 kilometer. In addition, the C200HW-CLK21 module requires specified shielded twisted-pair cables with two signal lines and one shield line for reliable data transfers in the system. The C200HW-CLK21 module allows each node to transmit up to 1,000 words, and it supports a maximum of 8,000 send/receive data link area words per node. Moreover, its supported data link areas include Bit-access areas (IR, CIO, AR, SR, LR), a DM area, and an extended DM area. The C200HW-CLK21 module can support message lengths of up to 2,012 bytes (including header) in the systems. The C200HW-CLK21 module also supports various RAS functions to enhance the overall functionality of the PLC system. These RAS functions include polling node backup, self-diagnostics during startup, internode and broadcast tests via FINS command, a watchdog timer, and an error log function. The C200HW-CLK21 Controller Link module’s current consumption rating is 300 mA.
