The Omron CJ1W-PRM21 module is a versatile Profibus master module that was designed for seamless integration into CPU racks and CJ1-series expansion racks in an Omron CJ programmable controller or PLC system. The CS1W-PRM21 module supports a range of unit numbers from 0 to F in a hexadecimal format, and it supports flexibility for various configurations. A maximum of 16 CJ1W-PRM21 modules can be installed in a given PLC to meet different application requirements. The CJ1W-PRM21 module provides ample memory space for data storage and processing. Its I/O data allocation capacity is 7168 words, and it supports 25 CIO area words. The CJ1W-PRM21 can be conveniently connected to the PLC CPU via a serial connection or through other I/O units. It features a Profibus RS-485 interface with galvanic isolation from the PLC that ensures reliable communication. The Profibus connector is a 9-pin female sub-D connector that enhances compatibility and ease of use. The CJ1W-PRM21 module can handle up to 125 slave devices on the network with address ranges from 0 to 125 for enabling robust data exchange.
