The Sick CLV490-0010 Barcode Scanner is a front-reading line scanner designed to provide high-performance barcode scanning capabilities. It features autofocus with eight distance configurations, ensuring accurate and efficient readings. The focus adjustment time is quick, taking less than 20 ms, enhancing the scanning process. The scanner utilizes a visible red light (650 nm) as the light source and is classified as Laser class 2, adhering to safety standards. With a wide field of view of up to 60°, the CLV490-0010 can read various barcode types, including Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar, Code 128, Code 39, GS1-128 / EAN 128, UPC / GTIN / EAN, and more. It offers a code resolution ranging from 0.25 mm to 1 mm, and the reading distance varies from 500 mm to 2,100 mm, depending on the code resolution (0.5 mm). The scanner operates at a scanning frequency of 600 Hz to 1,200 Hz, ensuring quick and efficient barcode reading. It supports multiple codes per scan, accommodating up to 12 codes with the Standard decoder and up to 6 codes with the SMART decoder. The scanner can handle 1 to 50 codes per reading interval using auto-discriminating technology. It can process up to 600 characters per reading interval, providing ample data processing capabilities. The CLV490-0010 Barcode Scanner is a reliable and durable solution with a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 80,000 hours, ensuring long-lasting performance. It has a print ratio of 2:1 to 3:1, offering flexibility for various applications. The scanner also supports different focus trigger sources, such as data interface, switching inputs "IN 0” to “IN 4," and timer, providing versatility and ease of use. The switch-on delay is between 35 and 40 minutes at -35 °C and 24 V DC, enabling efficient startup in cold environments.
