About PowerFlex 700

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 700 AC drives are equipped with 3-phase motor control capabilities for variable or constant torque applications and they provide application-specific parameters for oil wells, positioning, lifting, as well as fan and pump applications. PowerFlex 700 drives offer high torque performance through vector control with FORCE Technology and they are optimized for power saving through the adjustable voltage control functions. These drives are available in power ratings of 0.3 to 75 kilowatts at 200 to 240 Volts AC, 0.37 to 500 kilowatts at 380 to 480 Volts, 0.75 to 110 kilowatts at 500 to 600 Volts AC, and 45 to 135 kilowatts at 690 Volts AC.

The PowerFlex 700 series drives offer position indexing as well as position and speed profiling. Their application sets for oil wells include pump jack and pump off functions while they use TorqProve technology for lifting. Optional incremental encoders are available for this series and the enclosure options are IP 00, NEMA Open, Flange, NEMA Type 1, IP 20, and NEMA/UL Type Open enclosures. The I/O options are 6 digital inputs, 1 PTC input, 2 bipolar analog outputs, 3 relay inputs, and 2 bipolar analog outputs. Each PowerFlex 700 drive is fitted out with either a ControlNet, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, or a DeviceNet communication module. They support Logix integration with add-on profiles in the Studio 5000 Logix designer software. LCD human-machine interface modules are available on PowerFlex 700 drives to offer fast and easy parameter identification, system monitoring, and local drive programming. The automatic drive replacement support reduces configuration time.
