About PowerFlex 700S

The PowerFlex 700S control module series is a high-performance AC adjustable frequency drive series manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Adjustable frequency drives are used in modern industrial automation systems to control and regulate the speed and torque of 3-phase induction motors. The 700S series drives are available in a wide variety of options. They are available with different voltage ratings, frequency ratings, enclosure types, brake resistor options, control options, and other additional configurations. The PowerFlex 700S series drives is available with different communication options. They come with DPI and DriveLogix (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, and RS-483) communication slots. The drive is available with both IGBT braking and non-braking options. The 700S drives are available with human-machine interface modules on the front of the drive. The interfaces are also available as digital LCDs, full numeric LCDs, programmer-only LCDs, and as full numeric LCDs with door mounting options. They are also available with different emission filter options, including the CE filter and the CM choke options.

The PowerFlex 700S series drives are also available with different feedback options. They come with resolver feedback, Stegmann hi-resolution encoder feedback, and multi-device interface feedback. The 700 series drives are manufactured with different security and protective features. The devices are designed to work with unbalanced or ungrounded distribution systems. The PowerFlex 700S series drives contain protective MOVs and common mode capacitors. They contain the motor overload protection systems. The ground fault protection system in this drive series helps to verify the reliability of the drives. The PowerFlex 700S series drives allow zero stacking and they can be mounted side by side without any minimum spacing required between them. To control and regulate speed and torque, the 700S drives come with different control algorithms. It comes with Volts per Hertz control, sensorless vector control, and the Vector control with Force Technology.
