About 140G MCB

The Allen-Bradley 140G MCB series is a series of molded case circuit breakers whose usable value can be linked to absolutely all branches of industry, and they can also be implemented in buildings and homes. The 140G circuit breakers are 3-pole or 4-pole protective devices that are available with continuous current ratings between 125 and 3000 Amps. Their maximum operating voltage is 690 Volts AC. For standard electrical installations, customers usually buy circuit breakers with fixed thermal and magnetic protection options, but 140G units are also available with the adjustable thermal/fixed magnetic combination protection feature as well as with the molded case switch (isolator) options. The 140G circuit breaker housing is made of a special plastic that is a good insulator and that is not susceptible to wear and tear due to exposure to high temperatures. The mechanical construction is designed to prevent the jamming of moving parts, thus giving the devices a high level of safety in operation. The lifespan of these molded case circuit breakers is estimated to be over 25,000 mechanical operations.

The Allen-Bradley 140G molded case circuit breakers respond with lightning speed to the appearance of short-circuits, and the force separating the contacts inside of these units is proportional to the current flowing through them, so the speed of contact separation increases with the increase of the short-circuit current to which the device needs to respond. Internal options that can be factory installed on the 140G series circuit breakers are shunt trip, undervoltage release, alarm contacts, and auxiliary contacts. All the products from this series can be reverse-fed, which simplifies the installations in some applications. Allen-Bradley has certified that the 140G series circuit breakers with all their accessories meet the CE, UL, CSA, IEC, and the CCC standards.
