About Micro 820

The Allen-Bradley Micro 820 series programmable logic controller series features controllers that are 20-point brick style controllers equipped with embedded inputs and outputs. They can work with plugin modules and they can connect to remote LCDs for easy configuration. The logic controllers come with microSD expansion slots for storage purposes. A mounting fleet is present in the controllers for mounting them in different locations. They also come with DIN-Rail mounting latches which aid in mounting the controllers in different locations. The Micro 820 controllers come with status indicators that include the input status, run status, force status, ENET status, fault status, SD status, and output status indicators. Both RS-232 and RS-485 communication ports are supported by the logic controllers. Also, 10/100 Base T-ports are available which help to connect the controllers to an Ethernet network by using any RJ 45 Ethernet cable.

The Micro 820 series controllers are equipped with built-in real-time clocks that require no batteries for operation. Some variants of the Micro 820 controllers are available with removable terminal blocks for easier wiring and installation processes. They use 5 kHz PWM output for controlling solenoids and valves. Remote LCD screens can also be connected to the controller by using the RS-232 port. The display screens can show 4 or 8 lines of ASCII text. They are equipped with keypads which can also be used as human-machine interface modules. The modules support multiple languages and they are easy to use. Workbench software can be used to control the logic controllers. The Micro 820 controllers have dimensions of 90 x 100 x 80 millimeters. It has been certified with environmental standards, including the c-UL-US, C-Tick, and KC standards.
