About Micro 850

The Micro 850 series is a series of 24-point and 48-point programmable logic controllers from Allen-Bradley. The input and output terminals are embedded in the controllers. Five plugin modules can be used with these controllers and they can run with 24 Volts DC power supplies. These controllers are suitable for those applications where increased amounts of digital and analog performance are needed. The Micro 850 series controllers support the expansion of I/O support. The controllers are equipped with high-speed input interrupts. They support the common industry protocols and they have Ethernet/IP support. The controllers have compact designs and save space. They are manufactured with embedded motion capabilities and they support the Workbench programming software.

The Micro 850 controllers can be connected to HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces). The 850 series controllers are mostly used for larger standalone machine applications where high precision with analog and digital I/O is required. They have increased flexibility with removable terminal blocks. The Micro 850 series supports both 2 PTO and 3 PTO motion axes. There are different variants in this series with different input types. The base plugin slots in this series are 3 and 5. Three-channel variants known as channels 8, 16, and 4 are available in the 850 series controllers. The Micro 850 controllers have an update rate of 50 milliseconds. The power consumption ratings are 100 milliAmps at 5 Volts and 110 milliAmps at 5 Volts. The 850 series controllers are approved for Class I, Division 2 rated hazardous locations. The Micro 850 series controllers can be stored at an ambient temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius when not in use. The controllers can be mounted by using panel mounting with 4 M4 screws.
