About Panelview Plus 400

The PV Plus 400 series is a PanelView 400 operator interface display module series that features devices with color and grayscale graphics options. The PV Plus 400 display modules come with 3.8-inch grayscale screens as standard features with options for 3.5-inch flat-panel color or grayscale displays that feature a resolution of 320 x 240. The PV Plus 400 series display modules feature status indicators on the back of the terminals. There are green communication indicators show that the displays are communicating while the fault indicators that are red show that the hardware is faulty. The fault indicators should remain off while the communication indicators remain on because this means that the PV Plus 400 display modules are fully functional. These units provide the users with keypad input with optional touchscreen input.

The PV Plus 400 display modules feature RS-232 communication options and they come with add-on capabilities for providing more flexibility advantages to the modular communications interfaces. The PanelView series provides AC or DC power options. The PV Plus 400 series display modules are also built with the compact flash card slots for supporting the Type 1 compact flash cards. The modules under the series also feature USB ports that support the insertion of external keyboards, mice, printers, barcode readers, scanners, and other external devices. The Allen-Bradley PV Plus 400 series provides the functionality of the open-platform operating systems in its modules and it is also compatible with the FactoryTalk software. This allows the users to easily manage, monitor, and provide display application statuses. The panel view PV 400 series modules feature the same panel cutout as the PV standard 550 terminals.
