The Allen-Bradley 1336 capacitors are a family of spare capacitors for the 1336 Compact, Force, PLUS, PLUS II, REGEN, and Impact adjustable frequency AC drives. The 1336 Capacitors are replacement capacitor kits comprising individual capacitors, capacitor banks, capacitor assemblies, and fan capacitors. The 1336 capacitors (versions C1 to Cx, or C1 to Cxx) serve as replacement capacitors for 230 Volts AC, 460 Volts AC, and 575 Volts AC drives with 7.5 Horsepower to 250 Horsepower drive ratings. They are also available in 30 to 50 Amps current ratings. The 1336 capacitors are available in 1, 2, 4, and 6-bus capacitors assemblies, and the fan capacitors come as single capacitor kits (CHB1). The 1336 bus capacitor banks are located on either the lower-left corner of the main chassis in the 1336 B075 to B125, C075 to C125, and B075 to B150 compact drive models or the upper left corners of the main chassis in the 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, Impact, and Force compact drive models.
Although different models have slightly different capacitor bus bar configurations, and all 1336 capacitor assembly kits have similar bus capacitor assembly configurations. A bus capacitor bank consists of bus capacitor bars, a bus capacitor assembly bracket, a snubber resistor holder bus capacitor standoff, and a bus capacitor holder. Some models have high voltage guards that provide protective plastic coverings for both the capacitor bank and the power module assembly. It is recommended that the bus capacitors be tested each time a module is replaced to ensure optimum working conditions. Testing the 1336 capacitors requires checking for voltage equality across every capacitor, and if the voltage is unequal, it is recommended that the capacitors be replaced. The 1336 capacitors are installed close to the drive’s main chassis, and they are available for every drive frame and enclosure size.
