The Allen-Bradley 1336T-R040-AN-GT0 drive is part of the 1336T drive series (also referred to as the 1336 FORCE AC drive series). The 1336 FORCE AC drives under the 1336 family have the highest performance ratings due to their torque and speed control capabilities, communication capability, and flexible architecture which enables drive control of most machine applications. This drive series shares most of its features with the 1336 IMPACT and 1336 PLUS AC drives such as communication capabilities, a human-machine interface, and packaging that saves space. The technology structure of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT) minimizes the heating of the motor due to its efficient delivery of current output. The combination of the Allen-Bradley 1336T-R040-AN-GT0 drive's microprocessor, the CRPWM (Current Regulated Pulse Width Modulation), and the patented Force control technology enables the control of the motor speed not beyond 0.001% and an exact torque regulation at all speeds.

The Allen-Bradley 1336T-R040-AN-GT0 drive operates under the following environmental conditions: operating temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius (32 and 122 degrees Fahrenheit) with an IP 00 enclosure rating, 0 and 40 degrees Celsius (32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit) with an IP 20 enclosure rating, or between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius (32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit) with an IP 65 enclosure rating. It can tolerate a non-condensing relative humidity between 5 and 95%, a storage temperature range from –40 to 70 degrees Celsius (–40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) and a maximum operating altitude of 1000 meters or 3300 feet above sea level. The 1336T-R040-AN-GT0 drive has a power supply input voltage of 460 Volts and a power output rating of 37 kilowatts or 40 Horsepower. It has U.L certification for applications both in the US and Canada and it is designed to meet the NEMA, VDE, and IEC standards.
