The 160-BA02NPS1 is a Smart Speed Controller (SSC) from the “Series C” of Allen Bradley Smart Speed Controllers from the foremost industry manufacturer, Rockwell Automation.  Manufactured for use with a 3-phase induction AC motor, this microprocessor-controlled programmable device is suited for use in a wide range of applications. The 160-BA02NPS1 controller comes with some standard features such as ready and fault indicator LEDs, a fault/ready indicator panel (which can be used in tweaking default settings as well as perform control functions through the use of a TB3 control terminal block), a hinged finger guard, feed-through wiring, sine weighted PWM (with harmonic compensation) control, DC bus test points, preset speed, intelligent power module IGBT technology, IP20 (Open Style) enclosures, and a convection-cooled cooling method.  The controller operates quietly and can be mounted easily using a DIN latch. With an input voltage rating of 380 to 460 Volts at 50 to 60 Hertz, 3 phase with 0.55 kW, 0.75 HP, this module has a maximum output current of 1.7 Amps and 30 Watts of power dissipation. The 160-BA02NPS1 should be stored and operated in an environment that is free from direct sunlight and moisture. It should be stored and operated at an ambient temperature range -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and 0 to 50 degrees Celsius respectively, with a storage relative humidity between 0 and 95%, non-condensing. Installation should be carried out on a level surface that is vertical and flat, using recommended screw sizes; alternatively, it can be mounted on a 35 millimeter DIN rail.  A clearance of 12.5 millimeters should be maintained at the front, top, and bottom of the drive. Clearance is not required in between the units.
