The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2071-AP1 drive is a Kinetix 3 series industrial servo drive. Some of the servo drives in the Kinetix 3 series support shunt resistors, but the 2071-AP1 servo drive does not. The 2071-AP1 servo drive is a single-phase type of servo drive with an input voltage rating of 240 Volts AC. Its power rating is 100 Watts. The 2071-AP1 servo drive uses copper wires with sizes of 14 AWG or 2.4 millimeters square.

The 2071-AP1 part by Allen Bradley is an AC Input and power control drive belonging to the Kinetix 3 series of Servo Drives designed for industrial process control. This drive is powered by an input voltage of 240 Volts AC, used on One-Phase operations. It is recommended to use the FNQ-R-7 fuse for this module’s input power. Its control power should be applied to any of the following fuses: FRS-R-2-½, FNQ-R-7-½, or LPJ-6. It has an output current consisting of 1.1 A, while its input current is around 2.38 A. Its contactor is the 100-K05xy.

This particular drive operates best with a TL-A130P and a 100 Watt power source but does not support shunt resistors, so do not attempt to make terminations to either the B1 or the B2 terminals. To maximize user control, the 2071-AP1 contains an indexing mode and a designed communication port for both RS-232 and RS-485 communication methods. This unit does not have a torque value.

It is recommended to use a wire size of 2.4 millimeters squared (or 14 AWG), and a strip length of approximately 8 millimeters (or 0.3 inches).
