The Allen-Bradley 2071-AP2 is a Kinetix 3 Component Servo Drive that is 200 Watt rated; it operates on a 240 Volts AC RMS single-phase input voltage and its output current rating is 1.7A. This Kinetix 3 single axis servo drive is best paired with TL-Series and TLY-Series rotary motors. It is recommended that a TL-A220P motor that is used with this servo drive. The user interface of the 2071-AP2 servo drive consists of a 7-segment status indicator, a power indicator, arrow keys, an enter key, and a mode/set key. For communication purposes, this module contains 2 ports which include a serial interface (Comm 0A) and a serial interface (Comm 0B). An RS-485 communication termination switch is also located on the face side of the drive; there is a motor feedback connector, an analog output connector, and an I/O connector located on the servo drive. This servo drive is connected to a PC over a 1203-USB converter (drive serial interface).
The Allen-Bradley 2071-AP2 is delivered with a general-purpose power input header, a motor power header, and a shunt resistor header. Its dimensions are 53.0 millimeters (2.09 inches) x 155 millimeters (6.11 inches) x 153.04 millimeters (6.04 inches). The recommended size for the connecting power wires is 2.5 millimeters squared (or 14 AWG). This drive has an additional solid-state motor overload protection (thermal memory) and an input for an external temperature sensor is available for better motor protection; the user should connect the drive input power over the FNQ-R-7 fuse and the drive can give warnings about a large number of fault conditions, such as overcurrent, motor overspeed, overload, and overtemperature.
