Basic control logics such as implementation of Start / Stop, Jog, Forward / Reverse motor controls, Opening and Closing of electrical devices such Valve, Lamps and other electrical equipment may be implemented.

To download program to the Pico controller it is necessary to use the Allen-Bradley manufacture 1760-CBL-PM02 programming cables. This cable interfaces the programming PC which hosts the Picosoft software. The programming PC connects to via the COM port while the Pico controller connects through the Pico interface. If the COM port is unavailable, a USB to serial adapter from Allen-Bradley may be used to download the user program.

The 1760-L12DWD features Eight (8) discrete inputs that operates within voltage category of 12VDC. The appropriate input signal voltage range for this controller are 0 to 4V dc for OFF signal and 8V to 15.6V dc for ON signal.
