1760-L12DWD

The 1760-L12DWD is an Allen-Bradley Pico Expansion controller. It has eight digital input and four relay output units and belongs to the 1760 Pico Expansion I/O Module series by Allen Bradley. This part helps to provide extra input and output units (I/O) to a variety of MicroLogix modules. It has a chassis base and works on an input voltage signal of 12 Volts DC; this I/O module has 2 inputs that can be used as analog inputs as well as 4 high-speed units. It gives 3.3 mA at 12 Volts DC of an on-state current.

The 1760-L12DWD comes with an embedded Real Time Clock or RTC. This is used to keep track of the exact time during this module’s industrial operations. This part also has counters. Basic control logics such as implementation of Start / Stop, Jog, Forward / Reverse motor controls, Opening and Closing of electrical devices such Valve, Lamps and other electrical equipment may be implemented.

To download program to the Pico controller it is necessary to use the Allen-Bradley manufacture 1760-CBL-PM02 programming cables. The programming PC connects to via the COM port while the Pico controller connects through the Pico interface. If the COM port is unavailable, a USB to serial adapter from Allen-Bradley may be used to download the user program.

The 1760-L12DWD features Eight (8) discrete inputs that operates within voltage category of 12VDC. The appropriate input signal voltage range for this controller are 0 to 4V dc for OFF signal and 8V to 15.6V dc for ON signal. The High-Speed counter inputs of this controller are assigned to input I1 to I4 with counting frequency of <1 KHz and Square wave pulse shape. Two (2) analog inputs are also provided with this controller having an analog signal range of 0 to 10VDC. The Relay Contact output of this module has a rated operational voltage range of 250 VAC with 300V ac reinforced insulation.
