When being stored, the module supports a surrounding temperature of between -40 degrees Celsius and 70 degrees Celsius. The 1760-LDF processor unit has an operating humidity rating of between 5% minimum and 95% maximum without condensation. The module has a sulfur dioxide corrosion resistance rating of 10 centimeters cubed per meter cubed and a resistance rating of 1 centimeter cubed per 1 meter cubed for hydrogen sulfide for 4 days.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1760-LDF processor unit supports a line voltage of 24 Volts DC. Note that if a system needs more than 36 input and outputs, multiple processors are required. Interfacing with the processors is done by using a Pico-Link. However, the number processors must not exceed 8. The 1760-LDF processor unit can be interfaced with the 1760-RM-GFX remote processor. The processor provides text messaging capabilities. Also, the remote controller can be used for the terminal mode operation of Pico controllers and Input/Output modules.
