The 1753-IB20XOB8 is an Allen Bradley Rockwell Automation product. It is part of the Series A with 20 Digital Inputs, 8 Outputs, and a GuardPLC Ethernet. This GuardPLC 1200 controller is a compacted system that includes a watchdog, a CPU, and an onboard digital I/O. The controller comes with 20 digital inputs, eight digital outputs, and two high-speed counters. The 1753-IB20XOB8 has an RS-232 serial port that supports the ASCII communication, as well as an Ethernet port that provides safety-related communication. This system runs on a user-supplied 24V DC power supply and the 1753-IB20XOB8 is available in GuardPLC 1600 and 1800 series. The GuardPLC 1600 system also comes with 20 digital inputs and eight digital outputs, with an extra of non-compulsory distributed Safety I/O. GuardPLC 1800 system has up to 24 digital inputs, eight digital outputs, two high-speed counters, and eight safety-related analog inputs and non-compulsory distributed Safety I/O. The inputs and outputs status is designated through status indicators. Nevertheless, all these systems run on a user-supplied 24 Volt DC power supply.

This product is equipped with a GuardPLC Ethernet network to provide safe communication through Ethernet protocol for the distributed Inputs and Outputs as well as a peer-to-peer connection for the entire GuardPLC controllers. The feature also offers non-safety-related communication with an OPC server. The controllers’ configuration and programming are achieved through the GuardPLC Ethernet network. An internal Ethernet switch links the controller and these four connectors.
