The GuardPLC system is an advanced controller safety system that offers the fastest safety PLC, the fastest controller throughput, and the fastest safety network. This controller system has been designed and manufactured to meet worldwide standards for programmable controls. The system contains 4 main components. It has a packaged, controlled, and associated I/O safety communication networks, distributed I/O modules, and programming software. It can easily integrate with another machine or system. It has better diagnostics for standard control levels. The GuardPLC system has a compact build that helps to reduce installation costs and commissioning and reconfiguring time. It has enhanced potential for improvement in performance for more complex systems. The controllers are available with 2 different user memory options of 500 KB or 250 KB. It offers 4 digital input options for 20, 24, 16, or 8 inputs. 


The GuardPLC 1600 and 1800 controllers can be easily integrated with the embedded Ethernet/IP network. This controller series can be configured and programmed by using the RSLogix Guard Plus software. The 1600 variant of the GuardPLC controllers comes with 20 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, a built-in Ethernet switch, and flexible communication options for connection to a human-machine interface. This controller is available in both packaged and modular forms. The GuardPLC controllers are used in perimeter guarding for robots/welding applications and in packaging machines, press controls, semiconductor tools, and material handling system applications. These controller systems are equipped with ASCII serial ports for non-safety-related communication and an Ethernet port for safety-related communication. They are equipped with four 10/100 Base T, RJ-45 connectors to provide communication by using the Ethernet network. The GuardPLC 1600 and 1800 controllers are equipped with a reset button. This reset button can be used to reset the passwords when the operators forget the password and when the operators are unable to determine the IP address and the SRS of the controller.
