2080-OB4

This Digital Plug-In, the 2080-OB4, is a Micro800 series output module with four channels and a 12-pin, female terminal block. The 2080-OB4 does not require an enclosure (enclosure rating Open-Type) and has a mounting torque of 1.48 pounds on an inch (or 0.2 N-m). This output module has four (4) yellow status indicators and requires a terminal base screw torque of 1.95 to 2.21 pounds per inch (or 0.22 to 0.25 N-m).

The 2080-OB4 requires an amount of wiring, which must be completed in copper wire, either solid or stranded. Whichever wire type is being used, it must fall into the range of 16 to 24 AWG (or 1.3 to 0.2 millimeters squared) for it to comply with the module’s requirements. The wire must also be insulated enough to withstand up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 2080-OB4 module has a power supply between a minimum of 10.8 Volts DC and a maximum of 30 Volts DC. In its On-state, it has a voltage range between 10 Volts minimum and 30 Volts maximum, with 24 being the nominal voltage. Its current in its On-state hangs around 5.0 mA (at 10 Volts DC).

This module’s temperature while operating can fluctuate between -4 and 149 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 to 65 degrees Celsius), and can range between -40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit) while turned off. The surrounding air should not exceed a temperature of 149 degrees Fahrenheit for a safe operation of the 2080-OB4. This module is certified by CE, C-Tick, KC, and c-UL-us.

The purpose of this module is to provide an output to switch an assortment of DC voltages (between 12 and 24 Volts) top field loads. The 2080-OB4 module also detects signals from field devices (also between 12 and 24 Volts). At 10 to 500 Hertz, this unit has a 2 g vibration.
