The Allen-Bradley 1762-OX6I is a MicroLogix 1200 I/O expansion module. This module features Six (6) individually isolated Form C contact outputs. With Form C contact outputs, this module is designed with One (1) Normally Open and One (1) Normally Closed terminals therefore, it similarly functions as a switch however, each relay output states may be used to implement automation of different devices.

Each relay output channels are designed to operate at voltage ranges of 5-125VDC and 5-265 VAC. It has a Bus current draw of 110 mA at 5V DC and 110 mA at 24V DC. Each channel exhibits a maximum signal delay 10 ms and typical delay of 6 ms for ON transition. For OFF transition, the maximum signal delay is 20 ms with typical delay of 12 ms. Each output channel has a continuous current per point of 7A.

The 1762-OX6I is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1100, MicroLogix 1200 and MicroLogix 1400 controllers. When used with MicroLogix 1100, Four (4) installation instances of 1762-OX6I is supported. Similarly, Six (6) for MicroLogix 1200 and Seven (7) for MicroLogix 1400 controllers.

When installing this module, it requires a 2-inch clearance on all sides of the module. This clearance is similar to installation clearances of other modules. This clearance is specified to provide an adequate working space and promote adequate air-flow to prevent overheating.

The Allen-Bradley 1762-OX6I isolated relay output module operates with an input voltage range of 5 to 265 and 5-125VDC. This module has a bus current draw rang of 110 mA at 5 Volts DC (0.55 kW).

Before installing this module, the environment should be analyzed and studied since the mounting method will depend on the number of shocks or vibrations that the module could receive when operating. There are two ways to mount this module; usually, it can be mounted using a DIN rail with end anchors. The other way to mount this module that is recommended for environments with extreme vibrations is completed by using two Panhead screws per module. After having been mounted, the 1762-OX6I isolated relay output module can be connected to the controller and other I/O equipment using a ribbon cable.
