The 1747-PCIL Chassis Interface Module by Allen-Bradley is a module that functions with a PIC BUS card and a connector cable to create a PIC BUS interface. It has a user-defined 3-position switch and 3 factory-built isolated jumpers which are the User jumper, the Watchdog jumper, and the Last state jumper. The last state jumper specifies the state of any I/O connected to the chassis in case of any failure in communication. The last state jumper of the 1747-PCIL also has two user-defined settings (the Last State and Reset Settings). The last state settings allow the 1746 I/O modules installed in the chassis to hold their last state if communication with the scanner is lost or if the cable is unplugged abruptly, and the reset setting allows the I/O modules connected to the chassis to reset if communication with the scanner is lost. The Watchdog jumper is connected internally with a built-in Watchdog connector which is a solid-state switch that provides a switch to 2 selectable voltages which are 4.5V DC and 26.4V DC. The 1747-PCIL has LED Status indicator lights (yellow, solid green, flashing green, solid red, and flashing red) which indicate the status of the scanner. The 1747-PCIL module is installed in the left slot of 1746 I/O chassis and it has a backplane rating of 100mA at 5V DC. It has an operational temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius at a humidity limit of 5-95% without condensation and it can withstand an operational shock of 30G.
