It comes with built-in RS-232 and Ethernet communication ports along with a keypad for input purposes and a 12-inch colored display. This module requires an AC type input power and has a 512 MB RAM and a 512 MB Flash memory. It runs on a Windows CE 6.0 operating system out of the box. All PanelView Plus Terminals, including the 2711P-K12C4B2, come with FactoryTalk View Software Suite and a terminal software. Neither applications require activation; operators can use the FactoryTalk View software to create applications for Machine Edition. Users can view an app with the use of the ViewPoint software.

This terminal is also compatible with memory expansion modules of 256 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash memory. It has a CompactFlash slot that is compatible with a Type 1 CompactFlash card. It has USB ports to connect a mouse, a printer, and a keyboard. The ports comply with standards regarding use in hazardous location environment. Its filed wiring complies with the National Electrical Code. The 2711P-K12C4B2’s modular design allows flexible installation, upgrades, and configuration.
