The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T4W21D8S is a visualization component that is part of the modern PanelView Plus 7 Standard operator terminals. This operator terminal, commonly referred to as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device is the ideal migration platform of the discontinued PanelView operator terminals. It performs the same base capabilities of any PanelView terminals with enhanced features that fits the modern requirements of an HMI device for modern control systems.

The 2711P-T4W21D8S offers cost-effectiveness as it is ideal for use in small, simple application. This is due to the limited screen size of 4.3 inches with resolution of 480 x 272 WQVGA in 8-bit color graphics. This gives any user to select the appropriate PanelView size for the requirement. This operator terminal allow the machine or process operator to interact to the control system through the analog resistive touchscreen interface. It has a touch sensitive membrane with rated operation life of 1 million presses at an actuation force of 100 grams. This operator terminal has built-in Two (2) USB interface that may be used to insert USB flash drive as external storage as well as mouse and keyboard as external input devices. For communication with one or more process controllers, the embedded Ethernet interface may be used as it supports multi-node connection at a transmission speeds of 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation function. To efficiently operate the operator terminal, it is built with a 512 MB RAM and 512 MB internal storage. An additional 80 MB user memory is also allocated for storage of important HMI files.
