The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C22A9P is an AC powered Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. This is part of the PanelView Plus 7 performance operator terminal that is used to integrate Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Programmable Automation (PAC) controller data and provide visualization in text or graphical format that represents the measuring and control points of the system. This device also provides the user or operator an input interface via the analog resistive touch screen interface.

To perform data exchange between controllers, the 2711P-T7C22A9P is equipped with Two (2) Ethernet communication interfaces that supports linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. Process visualization is displayed by the built-in 6.5-inch color TFT screen with screen resolution of 640 x 480 VGA in 18-bit color graphics. The screen is paired with backlight having an adjustable brightness. This backlight component is not replaceable however, it reaches half-brightness upon reaching 50, 000 hrs. runtime. This same terminal also uses battery for the Real-Time clock that is designed to provide back-up power up to Four (4) years. This real-time clock provides system data and time with accuracy of ±2 minutes per month.

The runtime environment is already pre-installed and activated with the device.

The user can display the operating status of a device or process motion with the 2711P-T7C22A9P’s graphics and text displays. Operators interact with the 2711P-T7C22A9P’s control system by using the touchscreen or keypad. The remote user terminal can also display images without an active screen. The 2711P-T7C22A9P has a license that promotes a client connection to the terminal and no extra writing is needed for this connection.
