The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4A8 PanelView Plus 6 Terminal facilitates the user’s ability to monitor and control machines with its interactive graphics display module. It has flexible configuration through its separate logic, display, and communication modules. The 2711P-K12C4A8 terminal comes with a 12.1-inch active-matrix backlit screen with a keypad input. The keypad has a stainless-steel membrane for protection and navigation, numeric, and function keys. It has an 800 x 600 resolution and 18-bit color graphics. It also has 512 MB each of RAM and nonvolatile memory for data storage. It measures 20 x 14 x 8 inches and weighs 10 lbs. The 2711P-K12C4A8 runs on 100 - 240V AC and at 50 - 60 Hz. For communication, it comes with Ethernet and RS-232 serial ports and with optional DH-485, DH+, and ControlNet modules. The 2711P-K12C4A8 also has 2 USB ports for connecting external devices such as mice, keyboards, printers, and flash drives. he embedded RS232 interface supports DH485 and DF1 protocols. This port has configurable data exchange speed and ideally used for peer-to-peer connections, not exceeding 15 meters. For longer distances and networked architecture, the embedded Ethernet IP port is used which supports a maximum of 100 meters in linear topology. It may be further extended to using additional swtches or conversion to Fiber Optic Media. It supports data transmission speed of 10/100 mbps with auto-negotiation capability.

This operator terminal is operated using the embedded keypad which is composed of 40 Fully programmable function keys, K1-K20 and F1-F20. It also has numeric and confirmation keys as well as navigation keypad. These keypad assembly is designed to operate up to 1 million actuations.
