The GE Fanuc Emerson EP-3804 functions as an analog input module within the PACSystems RSTi-EP series. It is designed to facilitate the connection of four thermocouple inputs, incorporating diagnostics to ensure accuracy and reliability in temperature monitoring. This module boasts a resolution of 16 bits, allowing for detailed signal representation. Depending on the application's needs, users can adjust the operational speed from 36 to 240 milliseconds.

For enhanced integration, the device features a DIN rail mounting option that simplifies installation processes. It consumes 8mA of current from the Isys supply range of 20.4 to 28.8 volts DC. When powered by Iin, it requires 20mA at a standard 24 volts DC. The EP-3804 also provides built-in support for a high-speed system bus, capable of reading up to 256 discrete inputs/outputs within 20 milliseconds, ensuring timely data processing. Furthermore, it incorporates the option for system redundancy through the PNSR feature, enhancing the reliability of connected applications.
