The GE Fanuc IC200ALG263 Analog Input Module comes with 15 single-ended input channels to interface with 15 voltage inputs. It receives power from the power supply of the PLC backplane, and the backplane power is sufficient to operate the module. An additional power supply is not required. However, an external power source is required to supply the power to the transceivers in the system. Some of the features of the module include a 15-bit converter resolution, software configurable operations, and single-ended input channels in one group. It also offers 15 words of analog input data for the host interfaces. The backplane current consumption rating is 5 Volts and 150 milliamps maximum. The IC200ALG263 Analog Input Module provides 250 Volts AC of continuous user input to logic isolation and 1500 Volts AC of user input to frame ground isolation for 1 minute. The "OK" indicator LED indicates the success of the configuration and power up process, but it cannot indicate the hardware errors and faults of the module.

The GE Fanuc IC200ALG263 Analog Input Module uses several diagnostics facilities to detect errors such as internal power loss detection in the field side circuits and malfunctions in the analog to digital conversion process. It can assign a known stimulus to the analog to digital conversion path to check whether accurate results are generated. It attempts to stop the scanning process and turn off the "OK" LED if unexpected results are generated more than 3 times consecutively. It is recommended to use shielded twisted pair cables for the channel connection of the IC200ALG263 Analog Input Module. This module can be installed in a terminal-style, compact terminal-style, or connector-style I/O carrier by using a suitable auxiliary I/O terminal.
