The IC200CHS002 is a VersaMax I/O carrier module. This module provides modular approach as it permits servicing, troubleshooting and replacement of I/O modules without the need of dismantling existing wiring terminations. In general, this carrier module provides mounting and field wiring as well as the backplane communication capability of the hosted module. This module mainly features 36 terminals arranged in Two (2) strips labelled A1 to A18 and B1 to B18. This module is compatible for use with 32 point I/O modules or high-density I/Os devices from the same VersaMax product family. This module has 4 common / power connections and embedded with keying dials which is set to match the designated keying position of the module being hosted by the I/O carrier. This hardware also comes with carrier mating connectors for quick assembly and connection to the backplane. It also has a module latch hole to lock the hosted IO module into place. The terminals of the IC200CHS002 is capable of withstanding up to 300 VAC transient voltage. At normal operation, each terminal is designed for voltage range of 0-264 VAC and 2 Ampere current rating per terminal and 8 Ampere capacity per power / common terminal. Each terminal supports termination of up to 2 wires with recommended wire sizes of AWG # 14 (avg. 2.1mm2 cross section) to AWG #22 (avg. 0.36mm2 cross section) for single wire connection and AWG #18 (avg. 0.86mm2 cross section) for Two (2) wire connection in a single terminal for implementing terminal shorting.

The GE Fanuc IC200CHS002 carrier is a Versamax series box-style terminal I/O carrier. The Versamax products are designed for industrial automation applications and they provide common and flexible I/O structures for local/remote configurations. There are 3 types of I/O carriers in the Versamax product line, and they are terminal-style carriers, compact terminal-style carriers, and connector-style I/O carriers. The IC200CHS002 carrier has 36 IEC box-type terminals. The IC200CHS002 carrier provides backplane communications, mounting connections, and field wiring for one I/O module. The dimensions of the IC200CHS002 carrier are 110.5 x 70 x 139.7 millimeters. The terminals on the IC200CHS002 carrier are compatible with solid/stranded copper wire which have 0.36 to 2.1 square millimeters cross-sectional areas, or 2 wires that have up to 0.86 square millimeters cross-sectional areas. Copper wire that is rated for 194 degrees Fahrenheit is recommended for use with the Versamax IC200CHS002 carrier module. The recommended terminal torque for the IC200CHS002 carrier is 0.37 to 0.45 pounds on a foot. The label provided with the IC200CHS002 carrier can be inserted into the transparent door of the module. Current levels of 8 Amps per power and ground connection or 2 Amps per point can be accommodated by the IC200CHS002 carrier. The module will not be damaged by voltage transients of up to 300 Volts AC. The IC200CHS002 carrier supports up to 4 power/common connections and 32 I/O points. The module features carrier-to-carrier mating connectors for the rapid installation of the backplane connections. Keying dials with keys which are set to match the keying on the bottom of the module are also provided.
