The GE Fanuc IC200CHS015 terminal is a Versamax spring-style interposing I/O terminal. This device includes 36-spring-style clamp terminals and a connector which connects to a cable coming from a connector-style I/O carrier. The IC200CHS015 terminal interfaces field wiring with a connector-style I/O carrier. The terminal has a height of 105.44 millimeters and a width of 110.5 millimeters. Like all Versamax modules, the depth of the module is 70 millimeters. Solid or stranded copper wire is recommended for the wiring terminations on the terminals. The conductor size recommended for single wires is from 22 to 14 AWG and the conductor size recommended for 2 wires is a maximum of 18 AWG. A clear hinged door is provided on the IC200CHS015 terminal for providing protection to the wiring terminals.
A printed wiring card is provided with each IC200CHS015 terminal and it can be folded and inserted in this protective hinged door. When the package containing the IC200CHS015 terminal arrives from the manufacturer, it should be inspected for damage. A clearance of 2 inches above and below the module should be provided for air-cooling. Furthermore, a 1-inch clearance should be provided on either side of the module for additional air-cooling. The IC200CHS015 terminal should be installed on a DIN rail which should be electrically grounded. To provide vibration resistance, the DIN rail should be installed on a panel using screws spaced 6 inches apart.
