The IC200MDL240 is a discrete input module from the VersaMax I/O platform that is formerly produced by GE Intelligent Platforms, now manufactured by Emerson Automation. This module is a Sixteen (16) point discrete input module that support positive logic or sourcing wiring configuration. It may be used to interface field and electrical devices that provide binary or On/Off signal states such as Auxiliary contacts, Proximity sensors, Pushbutton devices, limit switches and similar devices. This 16-point module accepts an input signal voltage range of 0-132 VAC, 47-63 Hz with nominal signal voltage of 120 VAC along a minimum On-state current of 7 mA. The input channels are grouped in Two (2) with each group having a dedicated common and composed of Eight (8) channels each. It has group to group isolation rating of 250 VAC, continuous and 1500 VAC for 1 minute duration. Similarly, the module’s optical isolation which is the user input to logic isolation as well as the frame ground isolation are both 1500 VAC for 1 minute and 250 VAC, continuous. Each channel exhibits an On response time of 1 cycle, minimum while the Off response time is 2 ms, minimum. The On-state voltage is 70-132 VAC and Off-state voltage range is 0-40 VAC. Furthermore, the On-state current is minimum of 7 mA while the Off-state current is maximum of 1.5 mA. The IC200MDL240 is a DIN rail mounted and supports both horizontal and vertical orientation. No performance derating is experienced when the module is mounted vertically however, deratings at 132 VAC is present.

The GE Fanuc IC200MDL240 Versamax Discrete Input Module is a 16-point discrete input module The IC200MDL240 Input Module accepts AC input signals from sensors, pushbuttons, and switches in 2-state signal formats (either on/off or closed/open) and it sends them out to the CPU module or NIU module for intelligent processing in a 16-bit discrete data format. The IC200MDL240 Input Module offers a compact and modular design that offers application flexibility and saves wiring and engineering costs. The IC200MDL240 Input Module is installed on an I/O carrier base with snap-in capability, which supports hot module insertion and removal as well as simplified field wiring. The IC200MDL240 Input Module provides 16 discrete sourcing inputs in 2 groups of 8 inputs each. The IC200MDL240 Input Module does not have point-to-point isolation, but there is 250 Volts AC continuous isolation between each group. The IC200MDL240 Input Module has a 120 Volts AC nominal voltage rating and an input range from 0 to 132 Volts AC. The IC200MDL240 Input Module has a 70 to 132 Volts AC on-state range and a short off-state range of 0 to 20 Volts AC. This module draws all the power for operation from the backplane power. It has a maximum backplane current draw of 110 milliamps at 5 Volts and 5 milliamps of minimum on-state rating. The IC200MDL240 Input Module has 8.6 Kilo-Ohms of impedance rating at 60 Hertz. The IC200MDL240 Input Module has 16 labeled LEDs that show individual input point status updates and a single green LED indicator that shows the backplane status.
