All 16 of these input points are isolated. The IC200MDL632 input module is a logic module, and it supports positive logic and negative logic. The 16 input points can all be configured for either type of logic, which will affect how they operate. The positive logic inputs receive current from the input devices that are part of the same Versamax PLC system as the IC200MDL632 input module, and then they return the same current on the return. The negative logic inputs do the opposite, and they receive the current from the return and send it to the connected input devices which are found between the input terminals and the return terminals in the PLC.

The GE Fanuc IC200MDL632 16-point isolated input module is CE certified. It receives its power from the Versamax PLC’s backplane. The “OK” LED on the IC200MDL632 input module glows green when the backplane power is connected to the module. The backplane power also powers the LEDs for each of the 16 input points, and these LEDs glow when their corresponding input points are powered on. The IC200MDL632 input module normally does not require filtering in order to operate properly, but in certain industrial environments or for certain applications, installing filters may protect the module, enhance its operation, or extend its lifespan. The isolation voltage on the IC200MDL632 input module is 250 Volts AC continuous and 1500 AC for up to 1 minute for the point to point isolation, the user input to logic isolation, and the user input to the frame ground isolation.
