The Honeywell 060-J912-01 is an infrared point gas detector engineered to monitor hydrocarbon gases. Weighing in at 5.0 lbs, this device is designed for reliable performance in hazardous conditions. Its nominal voltage rating is 24 VDC, with an operational range from 18 to 32 VDC. With an IP rating of IP66/IP67, it provides robust protection against dust and moisture exposure.

This detector can handle extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +65°C, employing a sturdy housing made of type 316 stainless steel, complemented by a black nylon weather protection coating. The signal output of this device operates across a range of 4–20 mA and is autosensing, supporting both sink and source configurations; however, it does not support HART communication.

For gas measurement, the 060-J912-01 has a calibration range from 0 to 100% LEL and boasts rapid response times, with T50 measured at less than 3 seconds and T90 at under 4 seconds when detecting methane. The maximum power consumption is below 5 W, making it energy efficient.
