About MicroLogix 1200

The Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1200 series is a series of programmable controllers. These controllers are available in 2 different configurations such as the 24 I/O and 40 I/O configurations, and these are made up mainly of a processor, input and output circuits. and a power supply. This series has been designed and introduced to the market by Allen-Bradley. The Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1200 series programmable controllers' main hardware parts are terminal blocks, bus connectors, input and output LEDs, status LEDs, communication ports, terminal doors, trim pots, communications toggles, memory modules, real-time clocks, DIN rail mounting, and an HMI port. Depending on the model, the controllers can have up to 24 inputs and 16 outputs.

When installing any of the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1200 series programmable controllers, it is recommended to use isolated transformers and to have an ideal ventilation system that helps to maintain moderate temperature levels in the room and thus avoid overheating. It is also recommended to place the controllers in enclosures that provide protection against dust and dirt particles and at the same time, they will not be affected by corrosive atmospheres. Besides controllers, the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1200 series also includes memory modules, real-time clocks, and an option that includes both of these parts together in the controllers. The series also comes with additional I/O modules that work as expansion modules and with different communication cables. These accessories are exclusively made to be used with the MicroLogix 1200 series controllers. The controllers from this series have approximate shipping weights of 2 to 2.4 pounds.
