About MessageView

The MessageView series from Allen-Bradley is a series of display terminals. The terminals run with 24 Volts DC power and come with 128 x 32-pixel vacuum fluorescent displays (VFDs). These terminals are equipped with RS-232 ports on the main control board. The Message Builder software is used to program the display terminals. The terminals have the ability to store up to 4096 messages and related data using a historical event stack. The display terminals support different languages and they are easy to set up and use. The MessageView display terminals are used for monitoring and controlling machine operations in different environmental conditions. The front side of the terminals has VFD displays along with different keys. The displays can show 4 lines of 21 quarter-size characters, 2 lines of 10 half-size characters, or 2 lines of 5 graphic symbols. They also come with up and down navigation keys. These keys are used to scroll through and highlight options on the front panel. They can also help to scroll through the historical event stacks.

These display terminals accept 18 to 30 Volts DC voltage. Fault LED indicators are included for hardware and firmware faults. The MessageView terminals can also be mounted by using the mounting studs. Remote I/O connectors are used for remote connections. The display terminals meet all the electrical safety requirements. The MessageView terminals can also be connected to any Allen-Bradley 1771 remote I/O link s. These terminals are used in different networks and devices. The display terminals consume a maximum of 20 Watts of power with normal use. The voltage supply ranges between 18 and 30 Volts DC. All the display terminals in this series can work with impulse shocks of 30 G in operation and 50 G in non-operation and with vibrations of up to 57 Hertz.
