The S811+ soft starters are electrical soft starter devices manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The S811+ series is known for having the smallest and the most compact soft starter devices available on the market. This helps the devices to easily retrofit in the motor control centers or enclosures that they are intended for and this saves separate space. These devices have been manufactured to work with 3-phase induction motors and provide them with both mechanical and electrical soft starts. These devices are equipped with 6 SCRs in a full-wave power bridge. By varying the SCR conduction period, these starters control the voltage which in turn controls the torque developed by the motors. The S811+ soft starters are available in a wide variety of frame sizes, including 65 millimeters, 110 millimeters, 200 millimeters, and 290 millimeters. They are available in different ampere ratings. The operating frequency of the starters falls between 47 and 63 Hertz. The soft starter series motors are equipped with a digital interface module (DIM) on the front face of the devices. Also, on the front side, DIP switches known as S1 and S2 are present. The bottom part of the front side is equipped with 12-pin locking control terminal blocks.
